Growth of Red Amaranth (Amaranthus cruentus L.) Cultivated on Soil-Based Substrate Amended with a Residue of the Black Soldier Fly Larvae Containing Heavy Metals

Red amaranth (Amaranthus cruentus L.) is a fast-growing and nutritious leafy vegetable. The seed population density needs to be known appropriately obtain the optimal yield of marketable sizes plants. residue black soldier fly (BSF) larvae culture has been recognized as potential source nutrients for cultivating red spinach This study was designed search best combination plant BSF concentration plant. In addition, an accurate leaf area estimation also developed using dimensions predictor with several regression models. Two experiments were conducted. Firstly, applied at high rate (up 50%) floating system. Application 30% higher significantly inhibited growth amaranth.
